David Quinley originally hails from Illinois and now lives in Jerome. He discovered old time music and contra dancing while attending Berea College in Kentucy, which is not a long way to Harlan or Hazard.  He is Idaho's leading dance caller. He is also is an excellent potter, teaches high school journalism and is a connoisseur of Indian Pale Ale and Merlot wine.
